Mulch

Recycle Depot colored mulch consists of recycled wood waste such as dimensional lumber. This wood is shredded and screened to remove any foreign debris. Once shredded and screened the mulch is ground once before it is dyed. Red, brown, and black colored mulches are available. Our colored mulch will give your landscaping project eye catching curb appeal. Recycle Depot sells mulch by the yard with a two yard minimum. 

Our double shredded hardwood mulch is one of the most popular products we sell.  It is available is several colors and is perfect for adding that finishing touch to your landscape project.  The benefits of using hardwood mulch in your landscaping projects is not limited to just aesthetic value.  Mulch actually prevents water loss from around plants, breaks down to add nutrients to the soil, and helps to prevent weed germination when used in the recommended thickness.

It may seem complicated to calculate the quantity of mulch needed but it is really simple, all you need to know is a cubic yard is 3 feet wide by 3 feet high by 3 feet deep.  Determine the size of the area you want to cover in square feet.  To do this, multiply the length by the width of the space.  Next decide how deep you will want your mulch in inches.  Multiply the square feet of your garden space by the inches of mulch depth, divide that number by 324.  This is the number of cubic yards of mulch you will need.
